I've never seen this enemy mentioned anywhere. You find it by starting the game, then triggering the ghost scene (go north 1 screen), then head south to the bottom of Oedo. I'm wondering if this enemy has a name in the Japanese version of the game, and if (like most of the other enemies in the game), it is a reference to some Japanese history or folklore, or perhaps a Konami reference. As far as I know, it appears only in this area, and disappears once you defeat the first boss. Thank you!

Hello everybody.
The Ganbare Goemon Wiki proudly presents "Discussions", a place where you can share your thoughts with the rest of the community about the Ganbare Goemon/Mystical Ninja series, which merely saw brief light outside of Japan.
With the recent release of the fan translations for Ganbare Goemon 2 and Ganbare Goemon 3 for the Super Famicom, we thought this was a perfect time to open this service.
Feel free to talk anything Goemon, or even about other games and/or topics.
Hope to see you around.
Cheers!
